Regent Tour Itinerary
Immerse yourself in Thailand’s vibrant culture. Explore bustling cities, ornate temples, tropical jungles, an elephant sanctuary, and unwind on Phuket’s stunning golden beaches.
Day 1 – London To Bangkok, Thailand
A morning transfer to London Heathrow for our flight to Bangkok, arriving the next day
Day 2 – Arivval Into Bangkok, Thailand
On arrival in Bangkok, we will be met and transferred to the Golden Tulip Mandison Suites for check in. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Thailand’s vibrant capital is a dynamic metropolis, combining modern city life, rich culture, bustling markets and renowned cuisine. (D)
Day 3 – Full Day Tour Of Bangkok, Thailand
Today, enjoy a full-day tour of Bangkok’s highlights. Visit the magnificent Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, home to the Emerald Buddha, before exploring Wat Pho, one of the city’s oldest temples. After lunch, cruise Bangkok’s canals by traditional longtail boat, ending at the iconic Wat Arun overlooking the Chao Phraya River. (B,L)
Day 4 – Ayutthaya, Thailand
Explore the historical treasures of Ayutthaya, Thailand’s ancient capital, on a full-day excursion by minivan and boat. Visit Bang Pa-In Palace, Wat Yai Chai Mongkol, Wat Phra Si Sanphet and Wat Mahathat. After an included lunch, enjoy a river cruise past the city’s historic ruins before returning to Bangkok. (B,L)
Day 5 – Bangkok, Thailand
Spend the day at leisure before an evening tuk-tuk tour of Bangkok. Sample Michelin Bib Gourmand Pad Thai and Thai street food, visit the Giant Swing, local night markets and Pak Klong Talat flower market, then learn Thai traditions before ending at a riverside rooftop bar overlooking the Chao Phraya River. Day 6 – Bangkok to Luang Prabang, Laos
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Luang Prabang. On arrival, transfer to the Luang Prabang View Hotel. Set on the Mekong River, this beautifully preserved city is renowned for its 16th century temples, including Wat Xieng Thong and Wat Mai, and its distinctive Buddhist heritage. (B,L,D)
Day 7 – Luang Prabang, Laos
After breakfast, travel to Kuang Si Waterfall, visiting the Living Crafts Centre en route. Explore the turquoise pools and nearby Sun Bear Refuge before returning to Luang Prabang. This evening, enjoy a guided street food tour, sampling local specialities, exploring the Night Market and ending with a Sin Dat barbecue overlooking the Mekong. (B,S,L,D)
Day 8 – Luang Prabang, Laos
Today, experience daily life in Luang Prabang. Witness the early morning alms-giving ritual, visit the local market and Wat Pakhe, then enjoy a traditional Lao cooking class at UNESCO-listed Heuan Chan Heritage House. Later, visit colonial landmarks, textile workshops, Wat Manorom and Amatta Saboo. (B,L,D)
Day 9 – Luang Prabang to Chiang Rai, Thailand
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Chiang Rai and onward to the Laluna Hotel & Resort. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Thailand’s northernmost province is renowned for its ethnic diversity, scenic rice terraces, tea plantations, orchid-filled hills and views towards Burma and Laos. (B)
Day 10 – Chiang Rai, Thailand
This morning, discover Chiang Rai’s artistic highlights on a half-day tour. Visit Wat Rong Khun (the White Temple), designed by renowned artist Chalermchai Kositpipat, then explore the Mae Fah Luang Art & Cultural Park, home to an extensive collection of Lanna and Tai artefacts. Overnight at The Legend Chiang Rai Boutique River Resort & Spa. (B,L).
Day 11 – Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai, Thailand
Travel from Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai, where we transfer to the Sabai Sabai Chiang Mai Hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Northern Thailand’s largest city is rich in history, with remnants of its 13th century walls and moat, numerous temples and nearby elephant conservation centres. (B)
Day 12 – Chiang Mai, Thailand
Spend an enlightening day at Chang Chill, an ethical elephant sanctuary around 1½ hours from Chiang Mai. Learn about elephant conservation, observe elephants in their natural environment, prepare enrichment food, meet Karen hill tribe locals and mahouts, enjoy traditional refreshments, and savour a Thai vegetarian lunch. Day 13 – Chiang Mai to Phuket, Thailand
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Phuket, then continue to the Thavorn Palm Beach Resort. Thailand’s largest island, known as the ‘Pearl of the Andaman’, offers an excellent climate, miles of white sandy beaches and is one of the country’s most popular resort destinations. (B)
Day 14 – Phuket, Thailand
Embark on a leisurely walking tour of Phuket Town, exploring its Chinese and Portuguese heritage. Visit local markets, Kajorn Rangsan Temple, Chin Pracha Mansion, the Thai Hua Museum and historic streets lined with Sino-Portuguese architecture. Enjoy local snacks and conclude with a traditional Thai lunch in a historic house. (B,L)
Day 15 – Phuket, Thailand
Today is a day at leisure, perhaps explore more of Phuket or relax at the hotel. (B)
Day 16 – Phuket to London
Today we transfer to the airport for our flight back to London Heathrow, (B)
