Job Description:
As a Foreign Exchange Consultant, you will be a key part of the branch team, responsible for the smooth and profitable running of the bureau de change. Your role goes beyond trading currency – you will be a trusted face for our customers and an active contributor to the wider operations of the branch.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the effective daily operation of the bureau, with a focus on profitability and customer satisfaction;
- Achieving foreign exchange targets and set KPIs;
- Using your product knowledge and upselling skills to ensure every customer benefits from the full range of our foreign exchange services;
- Increasing the visibility of the bureau by using social media to promote offers and generate customer engagement;
- Managing stock levels of foreign currency accurately and efficiently;
- Taking full responsibility for the security of the bureau – minimising risk, mitigating errors and accurately reconciling cash;
- Supporting colleagues with administrative duties and playing an active role in branch operations;
- Engaging with our award-winning Learning & Development team as part of your ongoing personal and professional growth.
Essential Qualities & Skills Required:
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service and building lasting relationships;
- A customer-focused approach, with the drive to work towards and achieve individual sales targets;
- Confidence in handling cash on a daily basis;
- Strong organisational skills – both in tasks and time management;
- A passion for the travel industry.
Desirable Qualities & Skills:
- Previous experience in a foreign exchange, retail banking or customer-facing sales environment;
- Familiarity with bureau de change operations or financial services;
- Social media skills for promoting products and engaging with customers;
- A personal interest in travel would be a bonus.
