We can confirm we had a great holiday. Madeira was just perfect for us, and we can definitely recommend the Quinta da Bella Vista hotel. The hotel is set in the grounds of an old mansion house looking down to Funchal main town and has regular courtesy buses to and from. It has great food and restaurants, and the service from all the staff was superb.
Nearly all the clientele was of the “silver set” and probably equally represented by UK, French, and German, which gave a nice relaxing atmosphere.
