Regent Tours Itinerary
Discover the history of the North! Visit Levens Hall, The Bowes Museum, Beamish, Raby Castle, and experience the amazing spectacular Kynren live show.
Day 1 – Staffordshire To Levens Hall, Kendal
Departing Staffordshire, we travel north to Levens Hall near Kendal, a privately owned house and gardens featuring the world’s oldest topiary gardens within a 9,500 acre estate. Mid afternoon, we continue to the Redworth Hall Hotel for three nights ahead..
Day 2 – Bowes Museum, Barnard
After breakfast, we visit the Bowes Museum, a magnificent French styled building with collections of silver, metals, fashion, textiles, sculptures and paintings. Following an early dinner at our hotel, we travel to Bishop Auckland for Kynren, a spectacular open air show covering 2,000 years of British history. (B,D).
Day 3 – Beamish Museum
Today, we visit Beamish Museum, the world famous open air museum showcasing North East England’s history through its 1820s Pockerley, 1900s Town, 1900s Pit Village, 1940s Farm and 1950s Town. Enjoy a tram ride on the 1½ mile circular track before returning mid afternoon. (B,D)
Day 4 – Raby Castle to Staffordshire
After breakfast, we depart the hotel for Raby Castle, one of Northern England’s most impressive intact 14th century castles, built by the Neville family. Enjoy beautiful parkland views, ornamental lakes and deer herds before departing mid afternoon and returning to Staffordshire..
