Regent Tour Itinerary
Join David on an unforgettable journey through Egypt, visiting temples, royal tombs, and museums, revealing the remarkable stories of this ancient civilisation
Day 1 – Manchester to Cairo, Egypt
Our adventure begins this morning, as we fly from Manchester to Cairo. Once we arrive in Cairo we are transferred to the hotel, Hyatt Regency, our home for the next three nights.
Day 2 – Pyramids of Giza and the Great
Sphinx
This morning, enjoy an excursion to the Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx. Discover the last remaining wonder of the ancient world and learn about these remarkable ancient monuments. The afternoon is at leisure, providing time to relax or explore independently. (B)
Day 3 – Grand Egyptian Museum, Egypt
Enjoy a full day at the Grand Egyptian Museum, home to the world’s largest collection of Egyptian artefacts. Discover the treasures of King Tutankhamun, explore fascinating galleries showcasing ancient Egyptian life, culture and artistry, and immerse yourself in thousands of years of remarkable history. (B)
Day 4 – Cairo to Luxor, Egypt
This morning, have another opportunity to visit the Grand Egyptian Museum before transferring to the airport for our flight to Luxor this evening. Our home for the next 7 nights is the Jolie Ville Kings Island Resort. (B)
Day 5 – West Bank A, Luxor, Egypt
Today, we journey to Luxor’s West Bank, the burial ground of Egypt’s New Kingdom pharaohs. Visit the Colossi of Memnon, built 3,400 years ago, the magnificent Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, and the Valley of the Kings, home to more than 60 royal tombs, including that of Seti I. (B,D)
Day 6 – Luxor, Egypt
Take a day to unwind and recharge at your own pace. Relax by the pool, indulge in a soothing spa treatment, or set out to explore the area independently. (B,D)
Day 7 – Dendera and Abydos, Egypt
Embark on a full-day tour to Dendera and Abydos, two of ancient Egypt’s most remarkable sites. Explore Dendera’s exceptionally preserved temple complex, including the Sanctuary of Hathor, and discover Abydos, one of Egypt’s oldest and most sacred cities, renowned for its ancient monuments, temples and rich archaeological heritage. Day 8 – Karnak and Luxor, Egypt
Discover the iconic Karnak and Luxor Temples, two of ancient Egypt’s most impressive monuments. Explore Karnak, once a major religious centre and home to the Great Temple of Amun, then visit Luxor Temple, built largely by Amenhotep III and Ramses II. Together, they offer a remarkable insight into Egypt’s ancient grandeur and spiritual traditions. (B,D)
Day 9 – West Banks, Luxor, Egypt
Today, we explore more of Luxor’s West Bank. Visit the Valley of the Queens, burial place of New Kingdom queens and princesses, Medinat Habu, the impressive temple of Ramses III, and Deir el-Medina, the ancient artisans’ village that offers fascinating insight into the lives of those who built the royal tombs. Day 10 – Luxor, Egypt
Enjoy a relaxing day at leisure, taking advantage of your hotel’s pool or venture out to explore the surroundings at your own pace. (B,D)
Day 11 – Luxor to London, UK
Enjoy breakfast before heading to the airport for our flight to London Heathrow with memories of a fabulous tour. (B)

The 5* Hyatt Regency boasts spectacular views over one of the world’s greatest wonders, the Pyramids of Giza from lobby. Located in the midst of Cairo’s cultural and commercial hub, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Bedrooms: Standard rooms have a TV, individual climate control, hair dryer, tea/coffee making facilities and in-room safe.
Facilities: The hotel has an outdoor pool, fitness centre, spa (at additional expense). There is a buffet restaurant, bar, café and a la carte restaurant (at additional expense).
5* Jolie Ville Kings Island Resort, Luxor
The Jolie Ville Kings Island Resort combines its top-notch facilities with an on-the-river setting. As far as locations go, this hotel’s scored one of the best. It’s sat on an island in the River Nile, just outside the centre of Luxor.
Bedrooms: Standard rooms come with air-conditioning, shower or bath and tea/coffee making facilities.
Facilities: The hotel has a large lagoon-shaped pool and stylish infinity pool. The main restaurant offers an international buffet plus there is a la carte dining (additional expense). There is a well-equipped fitness centre and Spa with a hammam and hot tub (at additional expense).
Important Information
Mobility Information: Regrettably, this tour is not suitable for wheelchair users and may prove challenging for those less mobile. Transfers will be made by coach with steps and the itinerary involves visits to sites where wheelchair and mobility access cannot always be provided and surfaces may be uneven. Regent must be notified of all special requests (including room, health, mobility and flight requests) at the time of booking and must be informed if personal abilities or health declines over the booking period.
