Regent Cruise Tour Itinerary
Sail to the sun on this breathtaking cruise. Discover historic cities, golden beaches, vibrant culture and stunning coastal landscapes on this unforgettable journey
Day 1 – Embark Cruise In Liverpool, UK
This morning we travel to Liverpool. We embark the beautiful Bolette our home for the next 13 nights.
Day 2-3 – At Sea
A wonderful two days to relax and explore the fabulous facilities on Bolette, our floating hotel.
Day 4 – Lisbon, Portugal
Arriving in Lisbon, Portugal’s hillside capital, discover a captivating blend of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture. Explore landmarks including Jerónimos Monastery, UNESCO-listed Belém Tower and the Ponte de Abril Bridge. Enjoy the city’s rich maritime heritage and be sure to sample traditional pastéis de nata from the original bakery, opened in 1837
Day 5 – Cadiz, Spain
One of Europe’s oldest cities, Cadiz is famed for its cathedral’s golden dome and charming old town. Climb the 173 steps of Torre Tavira for superb views, enjoy authentic tapas and local wines, or experience traditional Flamenco in its birthplace for a memorable cultural experience.
Day 6 – Malaga, Spain
Stroll along Malaga’s elegant promenades and experience authentic Andalucian charm. Birthplace of Pablo Picasso, the city boasts attractions including the Picasso Museum and Centre Pompidou Málaga. Explore the historic Alcazaba and Gibralfaro Castle, both offering fascinating heritage and stunning views across the Mediterranean coastline.
Day 7 – Cueta, Spanish Morocco, Spain
Ceuta, a Spanish enclave on Morocco’s northern coast, offers stunning Mediterranean views, historic fortifications and vibrant markets. Blending Spanish and Moroccan cultures, it features beautiful beaches, diverse cuisine and a rich maritime heritage, making it a fascinating destination to explore.
Day 8 – At Sea
Perhaps relax by the pool or take part in one of the activities on-board. As we make our way to Madeira.
Day 9 – Funchal, Madeira, Portugal
The glorious island of Madeira, known as the ‘Garden Island’, is renowned for its subtropical flowers, lush gardens and scenic levada walks. From Funchal, explore Monte’s beautiful gardens, sample Madeiran wine and traditional cuisine, enjoy local Bailinho dances, or visit Cabo Girão, standing 580 metres above sea level.
Day 10 – At Sea
A day to relax at sea and maybe enjoy the on-board facilities of Bollette where there is a choice of arts and crafts,, games and sporting activities as well as the gym.
Day 11 – Leixoes, Matosinhos (for Porto) Portugal
Matosinhos offers a relaxed promenade, pleasant beach and easy access to nearby Porto. Explore Ribeira’s colourful riverside streets, enjoy a Douro River cruise past terraced vineyards and quintas, sample renowned Port wine, or try Francesinha, Porto’s famous sandwich, in an authentic Portuguese restaurant.
Day 12-13 – At Sea
2 days at sea, perhaps treat yourself to afternoon tea or a spa treatment or just have time to yourself.
Day 14 – Liverpool, UK
Arrive back into Liverpool this morning, for your onward journey home.
Cruise Information
Bolette is Fred. Olsen’s flagship and is everything that their loyal guests have come to expect. She exudes a classic, elegant style in her exterior and interior design, features spacious and comfortable public areas, and has all the facilities and special touches you need for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.
While she’s one of the largest ships, by overall size, in the Fred. Olsen fleet, Bolette has capacity for less than 1,400 guests. So, in keeping with their smaller-ship ethos, you’ll find that you’re not overcrowded on board and have plenty of space in which to indulge yourself in the stylish dining venues, enjoy fantastic entertainment at the bars, lounges, and while away the hours by the all season pool. Of course, with their friendly staff providing the typical level of personal, attentive service, there’s an intimate feel to the on board experience too.

This tour may be unsuitable for passengers with mobility issues. Regrettably, a number of the venues visited are not wheelchair or mobility scooter friendly, and full details are available on request. Guests must be able to walk unaided up and down steps and be capable of boarding and alighting coaches and trains independently.
