How Dining Plans Work

No cash, no fuss – just great food

Your meal and snack credits are loaded onto your Disney MagicBand or card when you arrive. Whenever you want to eat or grab a drink, simply tap and go – your balance updates automatically after every purchase. Unused credits roll over day to day and are valid until midnight on your check-out day.

You can also make dining reservations up to 60 days before your arrival using the My Disney Experience app – so if you’ve got your eye on a character dining experience or a signature restaurant, you can sort it before you even pack your bags.

What is the Disney Free Dining & Drinks offer?

When you book a 2027 Walt Disney World holiday – including your hotel and theme park tickets – through Spear Travels, your dining plan is included free of charge. The plan you receive depends on which resort category you choose. Value, Moderate, and Deluxe resorts each come with a different level of dining included.

When does the offer go on sale?

The offer goes on sale on 21st April 2026. You can register your interest with us before that date and we’ll be ready to get your booking underway the moment it opens.

When do I need to book by?

The offer is available to book from 21st April 2026 until 4th November 2026. However, if you book by 2nd July 2026, you can also save up to £600 per booking on top of your free dining – so it pays to move quickly.

What travel dates does the offer cover?

The offer applies to arrivals between 3rd January and 27th March 2027, 5th April and 6th October 2027, and 21st October and 19th December 2027. It’s available during most school holidays, making it ideal for family trips.

Is there a minimum stay?

Yes – a minimum stay of 5 nights is required to qualify for the offer.

Can I book the dining plan separately from the holiday package?

No. To receive a free dining plan, you’ll need to book a full package that includes flights, a Disney Resort hotel stay, and Magic Kingdom park tickets.

How does the dining plan actually work?

Your meal and snack credits are loaded onto your Disney MagicBand or card when you check in. Each time you eat or grab a drink, just tap your band or card at the point of payment and your credits are deducted automatically. You’ll receive a receipt showing your updated balance after each transaction.

How many credits do I get?

Your credits are based on the number of nights you’re staying and the resort tier you’ve booked. For example, at a Deluxe resort, each guest (aged 3 and over) receives one Table Service meal credit, one Quick Service meal credit, one snack credit, and one drink per meal – every night of their stay.

Do I have to use my credits on specific days?

Not at all. Your credits are yours to use however you like, in whatever order suits you. Unused credits roll over from day to day, so there’s no pressure to use them all at once. They’re valid until midnight on your check-out day.

Can I save credits to use on a bigger meal or special dining experience?

Yes, to a degree. If you’re at a Deluxe resort and fancy a Signature Dining restaurant or a Dinner Show, these require two Table Service credits per person rather than one – so it’s worth planning ahead if that’s on your wish list.

Do I have to eat every meal with my whole family?

No. Family members can eat at different restaurants at different times if they want to. You can also dine with people who aren’t on the dining plan – just let your server know who’s on the plan when you arrive at the table.

What counts as a snack credit?

Snack credits can be redeemed at Quick Service restaurants, most outdoor carts, and selected merchandise locations across the resort. Examples include soft drinks, water bottles, fresh fruit, and ice cream.

What’s a Resort-Refillable Drink Mug?

Guests on the Moderate and Deluxe dining plans each receive a Resort-Refillable Drink Mug. This can be refilled as many times as you like at self-service beverage stations at any Disney Resort hotel throughout your stay – great for hot days in the parks.

What’s the difference between a Quick Service and a Table Service restaurant?

A Quick Service restaurant (sometimes called counter service) is a casual dining option where you order at the counter, pay, and carry your tray to a seating area. Think pastas, burgers, salads, and sandwiches – quick, relaxed, and great for busy park days.

A Table Service restaurant is a sit-down experience where you’re shown to your table and served by waiting staff. These range from casual family-friendly spots to fine dining and character dining experiences.

What drinks are included?

Each meal credit comes with one drink included – either non-alcoholic or alcoholic (for guests aged 21 and over). Options include artisanal milkshakes, fresh smoothies, mocktails, sodas, beer, cider, most wines, sangria, and speciality cocktails.

Are gratuities included?

No – gratuities are not included in the dining plan and are payable separately at Table Service restaurants.

Can children order from the adult menu?

No. Children between the ages of 3 and 9 must order from the children’s menu when one is available.

Do children under 3 receive a dining plan?

No. Children under 3 don’t require park tickets, so they’re not included in the dining plan. They can order and pay separately at restaurants.

Can I book restaurants in advance?

Yes – and we’d strongly recommend it, especially for Table Service and character dining. You can make dining reservations up to 60 days before your arrival date using the My Disney Experience app or website. If your stay is longer than one night, you can book your entire stay’s worth of restaurants at the 60-day mark.

Do I have to book restaurants in advance?

Dining plans are flexible – you’re not locked into specific restaurants or times. That said, popular spots and character dining experiences book up fast, so advance reservations are well worth making for anything you’re really looking forward to.

When do my dining credits become available?

Your credits are loaded onto your Disney band or card as soon as you check in. They’re valid from that point until 11:59pm on your check-out day.
